Grandchild number 12, arrived safely!

There is always room for one more to love and adore! Lovely little Savannah arrived safely on the 28th of June, almost a year exactly away from her cousin Cindy's arrival. It's so surprising how one can manage to share themselves with so many loved one's, but not so surprising is how much one loves them all so dearly!

Savannah's first picture
Savannah looks like both her mum and dad!

She looks like one of those baby dolls here.

This is Cindy, now 1 year old.
Thanks for looking!

My Grandson Used My Knitting Loom

Meet Darcy, my 7 year old grandson. I taught him how to use the knitting loom tonight. He found it relaxing (words from his mouth).
Unlike the his sister Lily, he soon became a little bored with the loom knitting about half the way through making his hat. So I wrapped the pegs and he lifted the stitches over, soon this eventually bored him too, it was not growing fast enough for him.
I was making something for myself on another loom, but I had to put that aside to finish Darcy's hat off. Darcy was getting a little tired at this stage so I had to go very fast to finish it.
Once it was off the pegs and sewed up, he stuck his fingers through the hat and said look Nan a monster, so we came up with the idea for a monster face to put on the hat.
Some buttons for eye's, a bit of sewing for the mouth and he had to have a mohawk too!
All just in time for bed time too! I'm sure we can add a little something extra tomorrow for more of a monster look. He has worn it to bed, because he says it is nice and warm.
I was really pleased Darcy took an interest in the loom, we have nintendo's, wii's and a playstation too, they all took a back seat to him being creative on the loom.
Well Done My Darcy boy!

Never too Young to Learn

My 10 year old grand daughter Lily and her friend Molly came to sleep over tonight. Molly was talking about her grade teaching French knitting and how confusing it was. I told her I could help her and bought out a loom. Blow me down they were both doing it in no time!

While they were loom knitting, I was making this hat.

Kids, House and More

Lily is our second eldest grand child and our eldest grand daughter.
Today the 31st of May, is Lily's 9th birthday. Her Mother made a wonderful tea party setting for Lily and her birthday friends.
Just a small collection of Lily's presents so far. Lily is such a trendy kid, she just loves fashion!
Now here is Bella (4) being a mother to Bradyn (1).
Darcy who turns 7 next month was so grateful to have a boy to play with, Cooper (3). Darcy gets very sick and tired of his sisters and no boys to play with. Most of his cousins that live close by are girls too, so he just loved being with with Cooper today.

Onto more house talk.
My kitchen has gone from this, 8 seater table and 4 stools.
Make shift seating with the out door setting.
Now we have a sweet little setting ready for the new house that was bought at auction on ebay. I just hope all of the pieces of furniture I have chosen to use for my dining room will tie in nicely. The furniture pieces I already have, were all hand made by my brother.
After our visit to the birthday girl, we took the boys with us to view the progress of the new house. We now have the fencing up and the exterior house painting is completed.
This is down the very back of the block and the boys just loved the messy dirt mounds.
Now of course we had to go for a walk on the jetty once again. The tide was out when we were there, lucky for us as Braydn was rearing to go! Cooper and Bradyn are pictured here with Pa.

Grandchild Number 10!

How could I not make a post of our latest grandchild? Bad Nanny!
As you can see Ethan was born April the 19th, the day after his Pa's birthday too.
No 8 grandson for us and we have 2 grand daughters too.
I think these thank you cards are a delight and would bring a smile to any one's face.
Welcome to the world Ethan!

My Baby Daughters 21st Birthday

My daughter Danielle on the right with her all time best mate Alisha, sure went all out for the theme of the night which was the roaring 20's! Both girls are wearing wigs, many of the girls wore a wig including myself, but I think the men looked fantastic in their 20,s get up, so nice to see so many in lovely suits and a hat to match.
See the fella in the big white hat behind Danielle? Well that is her boyfriend Nathan of 6 years long. He turned 21 last November. They are in the midst of building their first home.

What a shocker! I'm in the centre surrounded by 4 of my 5 daughters.
A handsome shot of Alisha and her great boyfriend Brian.
Nathan with his big brother Aaron.
Oh this is my SIL and BIL, the best couple in the world! Robyn and Mal, I love them to bit's!
My daughter Terrie makes a great pose, in more ways than one, LOL.This is my son in law Luke, father to 2 of my grandchildren, Cooper and Bradyn.

So the party went on and we were all having a great night, finally the cake came out and with it a very special request from Nathan to Danielle.
Nathan has finally asked Danielle to marry him by way of her birthday cake, the engagement ring sat in the centre of the flower.
Oh boy the excitement hit the room then. All I could say to Nathan was, thank you, thank you, thank you!
I'll figure out why I said that sooner or later.
And here is the ring being placed, they are such a cute couple.

It was a great night had by one and all and a lovely venue too, which Danielle and Nathan plan to hold their engagement there as well. Another party and more fun, goody.

More of my Grandson's

Here are 2 of my other grandsons.
This trendy little fellow is Cooper (3)

This little cutey is Bradyn (9 months)

They are the sons of my second eldest daughter Cristy.

They live very close by, so I get to see them lots, lucky me. Poor little Cooper is so corrupted by his Nanny, he will only eat chocolate that has the cadbury label on it, he won't eat any jelly type lollies and he loves his soft drink, to his mothers displeasure. We sit at the table and just talk, talk, talk, we wave our hands around and use many facial expressions. His vocabulary is growing and our conversations are becoming longer and more interesting. Brady is still a baby, but he recognises me and I always get a great big smile from him.

Introducing 4 of my 4 step grand children

Introducing 1 of my 4 step grandchildren

This is Flynn he will be 4 in January 2009, he is the son of my step son Matthew and his Mother Sue-Anne. Flynn likes to fish and do lots of boy things, his Mum and Dad will be giving Flynn a brother or sister next year.

Introducing 3 of my 4 step grand children.

From left to right, Darcy (6), Bella (4), Lilly (8).

Darcy loves Ben 10 at the moment, Bella is into Dora and Lilly loves High School Musical.

So all of those types of things are on the commercial xmas list for this year.

I say commercial because that is how I think xmas gets now a days.

They all love coming over to Nanny Cath (me) and Pa's house for a sleep over. They love to get into the chocolates and soft drink.

But these days knowing how those things get kids hypo, I try to supply other things they may like.

But they always find Pa's lolly jar and raid it!

These 3 are a full on bunch so they do not need more encouragement from those so called evil additives.

They are the 3 children of my step daughter Beck and son in law David.

Number 3 Daughter, Terrie Love's to Dance

I don't write much personal stuff in here, but I would like to share an achievement by my 3rd daughter( I have 5 daughters) Terrie.

She loves Street Latin Dancing, and just recently she achieved first place in street latin dancing, this was held at the Melbourne Exhibition Building about 3 weeks ago. She just received her pictures from the day and I am posting them here. I'm very proud of Terrie no matter what she does!
