Baby Kisses-Crochet Baby Hat-Free Pattern

Introduction: This is a sweet little pattern for a boy or girl, and depending on which way you look at it, you can see an X shape or a Diamond shape, I can see the X shape and have therefore called the hat pattern, baby kisses xxx. The shape is formed by skipping a stitch, making 2 st's then coming back to work in the skipped st, the other half of the stitch is made similar, but you skip 2 st's, make a st, then come in from behind the st just made and make the 2 skipped st's, that way the elongated stitch stands out as a 3d effect and makes the X or the diamond.

Once you are comfortable with the way the hat is made, it may be time for you to experiment with adding more colors, a fine way to use up left over yarn or co-ordinate colors to match a favorite outfit you have. cats rockin crochet

The Shy Butterfly Baby Bootie Pattern

The Shy Butterfly Bootie Free Crochet Pattern

Designed to match The Shy Butterfly Baby Hat and The Shy Butterfly Baby Sweater Free Crochet Pattern
The Shy Butterfly Baby Sweater Free Crochet Pattern
The Shy Butterfly Baby Hat Free Crochet Pattern

Full tutorial for this top down, no sew bootie, click here
Introduction: The bootie is made from the cuff down and in the round, then onto a flat row for a bit of shaping, then back into the round to shape it all off. Once the basic bootie is made you will then add the Shy Butterfly pattern to the top of the made bootie.
If you look close enough you can see the butterflies hidden within the pattern, I think they are quite shy as they seem to vanish, then reappear where they choose to.
The pattern is quite easy, with lots of repeats.
I have made this pattern with a dc crown, so it works up quite quickly, a real time saver and a quick project for last minute gifts.
