Crochet Cat.

I named this cat. Sophis-ti-cat.

I read some where that once you've made one type of amigurumi, you can make any type of amigurumi using the same technique. So I gave it a go with-out a pattern and just made it up as I went along. I visualised the shape I wanted it and either increased or decreased where I wanted to change shape. It's all done in SC and where you want a smaller or larger beginning, the trick is in the beginning circle. Starting with 4 SC in the circle then increasing will give you a smaller beginning. Starting with 8 SC in the circle will give you a larger beginning. The smaller size being for arms and legs and the larger for the body. 6 SC in the circle is usually the head and the most used beginning. Once you have done the body, you bring your project alive by adding features. One feature being the ears, shaped differently can determine what your project will be. Adding a tail will determine it even further.
The fun part is adding facial features, the eye's can say it all. I am awake, I am asleep, I am a wide eyed beauty, I am Asian and so on. Some makers don't include a nose or a mouth. Whiskers for a cat are a great feature, you can make them long, short, stand out or flat to the face. Felt can be used for these features along with pipe cleaners or even the yarn. I have purchased eye's and you can get them in various shapes and colours. Adding jewelery or clothes can make your project more life like. I also add thread wire to the parts I want to shape. Crochet Camera Case

Here is a cute little camera case.
This will fit a small camera.

To make a larger camera case, ch the width (horizontaly across the face of your camera) of your camera and work sc rows the horizontal length of the face of your camera.

Pattern.

Hook size 4.00mm

8 ply Yarn used.

Special stitches.

Back Loop Only. Work your stitches in the loop further away from you.

Ch, 15
1. sc in second chain from hook and each chain across, ch 1, turn (14 sc)
2. sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn

3. work 2 more rows as above.

5. working in blo, sc in each sc across, ch 1, turn. 6. repeat 2nd row 14 more times.
19. repeat row 5 once.
20. repeat row 2, 4 more times
23. repeat row 5 once.
24. repeat row 2, 14 more times. Do not fasten off!

Base.

slip st beginning row and last row together. Do not fasten off!
work 5 sc evenly across narrow side of case.
work 14 rows of 1 sc in each of the next 5 sc, ch 1, turn. fasten Off.

sew this bottom flap into place, attaching it to the 3 remaining sides.

Top Flap.

Working at the top now, attach yarn to one of the wider sides and work 10 sc, evenly across.
Work 10 rows of sc, in each of next 10 sc across, ch 1, turn.

Button Hole.

Work 1 sc, in next 4 sc, ch 2, miss 2 sc, 1 sc in each of next 4 sc, ch 1, turn.
Work 1 sc, in next 4 sc, work 2 sc in the ch 2 space, 1 sc, in each of next 4 sc, ch 1, turn.
Work 1 sc in each sc, ch 1, turn.
Work 1 sc in each sc across, fasten off.

Tidy ends, sew on button and decorate any way you want.

Crocheted Halter Top

This is another halter top I made, I crocheted beads into the white band.
I'm still working on the pattern.

I am putting a pattern together for the halter top on the left.
