Too wet for the market today

So I am up at 5.45 am, my car was packed the night before and I'm ready to head off to the market, but the weather is wet and cold, it doesn't look like it's going to let up, so the decision is made and I won't be going.

So onto my other love, I'll surf the net for inspiration, but I'll just play a few online games first. My hubby snaps a shot of me from behind, the birds nest in my hair is revealed.

Now this is a project I've thinking about for a while, to replace the cushion covers I knitted some years ago.

This is the beginning of one cushion, so far I like it and it is making up fast with 2 strands of 8ply and a size 6.00mm hook, I designed the stitch pattern before I started. Considering I have not written many patterns of late, I might write this one up to share. I've also got a lovely bolero hat pattern I want to write up and share. So stay tuned for more to come.

Playing around with the Divine hat and a little bit more.

I asked hubby to take a picture of my new army greens Divine hat, mmm didn't like his pictures, so I tried myself.

How to get an over the head shot? Not quite right. You can see I'm dressed for the occassion too, daggy old tracky, no make-up.

Now let's see here, now that's a bit closer and a better view.
Oh yes this is the shot.

My favourite succulent.

I can feel spring coming on, I put down the hook and cleaned up my out door area.

This is the under cover entertaining area.

This is the fishpond next to the area above.
This is opposite the first picture.
This is my non covered entertaining area.

Opposite the above area. Garden and spa area.
A balcony to catch the views.
My simple yet private back yard.
A succulent in flower.

A visit from the grandkids

I had a lovely visit from my grandsons tonight, it gave me the opportunity to try the pink pussy hat on for size, I chased Cooper (2 yrs) around to get him to try it on, but he would not have a bar of it, so I picked on Brady (5 mths) it was a little too big for him so I would say the hat would fit a 4 to 5 yr old.

Cooper is wearing the first spiderman hat I made, this one does not even fit Pa, it is way too big, but Cooper likes to wear it over his face and crawl around on all fours being spiderman. If you look close you will see he has also put on Nanny's out door thongs (flip flops). Trying to fit into my shoes already.
My daughter (Cristy) brought me over this jar and asked if I might be able to use it, my other daughter (Danielle) said "what more clutter", I had an idea immediately.
I've been saving my scrap yarn for months to felt and roll into balls and then into a necklace, I really stuffed them into the jar and I think the effect looks great.
You can also roll newspaper into the balls for a necklace too.
