Crochet a new look, with old T's.

I realised the fashion from last year was too short, or I had put on a bit of size. Probably the latter. I am also not partial to a bra, they are too restricting for my liking especially in the heat. I altered a few of my T's and here's what I got. I particulary like the white one as it is a new one I bought in 2006 for a song but never wore it, the black netting type of crochet I placed around it, ensures that I can go without a bra, it hugs in around my boobs and you cant see through it.
The others add length and hides a bit of the cleavage.

Here's another bag I have made.
It's made from the box of carpet nylon I got.
Well that is what I am calling it.
The carpet nylon is very strong and this type is actually a little soft to feel.
I just made it up as I went along.
I've used old curtain rings for part of the handle.
There are no gaps in the crochet, there-fore nothing will fall out.
I must say that this is a very strong little bag and cute too.

I got this box of yarn from Trash & Treasure for $12.00.
It's mostly 100% nylon and I am sure it is for making carpet.
You may recognise one of the colours from the cat I made, sophis-ti-cat.
What to do with so much yarn?
Apart from the cat, I have now made a draw string bag.

I started at the base with sc worked in the round and increased until I was happy with the size. I continued to work upwards with a bit of a decrease here and there for shaping. I added the black in, to form a pattern. It's kind of like crochet tapestry. I hand sewed seed beads into it for decoration and did some over crochet. The draw string is done in a plat.

Over all I am quite happy.
