Granny Square Bag/Purse

Granny Squares and Bags
This was pretty easy and fast to make.
It's simply made from 6 granny squares sewn together.
Then I used the crochet moss stitch around the top of the bag.
I have found a very strong way of making the handles for the bags.
It's simply a length of chain-hdc around both sides of the chain, then complete with rsc (crab st).
That hdc is American English. I suppose the translation for it would be htrbl.
I read so many American English patterns, I find my self writing in those terms.

Now What To Do With This

So this is a before picture.
I cut the bottom off the skirt, to shorten it a little and I will use the cut piece to make a matching top.
We'll come back to this project once I've completed it.

I've also got to work on this thread I bought for $2.00 a cone.

3 Tier Drawsring Bag

This is another bag I made.
I was writing the pattern as I made it, but then I lost my place.
So I'll have to go back to it and start over.
The Drawstring is designed to be used for a back pack or over the shoulder strap.

Crochet a new look, with old T's.

I realised the fashion from last year was too short, or I had put on a bit of size. Probably the latter. I am also not partial to a bra, they are too restricting for my liking especially in the heat. I altered a few of my T's and here's what I got. I particulary like the white one as it is a new one I bought in 2006 for a song but never wore it, the black netting type of crochet I placed around it, ensures that I can go without a bra, it hugs in around my boobs and you cant see through it.
The others add length and hides a bit of the cleavage.
