Crochet Speedy Scarf Hat

12 ply yarn
5.00mm hook
Tension not required
Worked in dc (trbl) = (yo hook, insert hook into st pull through loop, yo hook, pull through 2 loops, yo over hook pull through 2 loops again.
Hdc= yo hook, insert hook into st pull through loop, yo hook, pull through all 3 loops on hook
Ch 3 counts as first dc in each row.
A 100gm ball of yarn will get you through the hood and just pass the third row of the scarf.

Starting with hood
Ch 43
1. dc in 4th ch from hook, dc in each ch to end (40 dc), working on the opposite side of the chain, dc in each ch to end (80dc), ch 3 turn
2. dc in 2nd dc and in each dc around, ch 3 turn (80 dc)

3 to 14 repeat row 2 but do not chain 3 at the end of row 14 break off yarn

Working with the attached scarf
Front view, (attach chain 50 to the bottom right edge of hood)
Rear view.

1. ch 50, with right side of hood facing you, attach chain 50 to the bottom right edge of the hood, sc (about 48 to 50) evenly across, then ch 53 and turn
2. dc in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across to the first sc, work 1 hdc in each sc across, dc in each ch to end, ch 3 and turn
3. dc in 2nd dc from hook and in each dc across, ch 3 turn.
4. repeat row 3 for the width required fro the scarf.

For a decorative edging, using yarn of your choice and a size 4.00mm hook, begin a sc around each dc post starting at the top right hand edge of scarf around the hood and across the left top of the scarf.
Finish off and weave in all ends.
