Crocheted Baby

I made a crocheted baby I almost forgot to share this one with you. He/she is too cute not to share.
My dear late mother-in-law, made this blanket but did not finish the very last row, so I completed it with a lovely shell edging and made the baby in the remaining yarn to match it. I also found some of her knitted baby clothes that only needed the buttons sewn on, so I finished them off too. Her grandson is having his first child and I purposely finished the items off for his new baby, which will be born in Feb, 2008. He was very close to his Grandmother and I am positive he will be very touched to have some thing from her, for his very first child.

You can find the pattern for the baby here.

Piano Scarf Made With A Crochet Hook

This is a xmas gift for my Brother-in-Law.
I got the graph from here and I made the scarf in sc, with a 5.00 mm hook .
8 ply yarn was used, about 200 gms of white, 100 gms of black.
You could use a thicker or thinner yarn, by following the graph, you cant go wrong with either sized yarn.
I used a 3.50mm hook and sc over the top of the scarf in the area's indicated by the circles on the graph.
My brother in law, now has this scarf laying across his bar! Play the piano while you drink.
I reckon he'll be looking for it to wear, come winter.
